Today I received feedback from my peers on my packaging design. The feedback I got was that the gradient does not go with my concept and does not intrigue the viewer to drink the soda. Also the font I used was liked by all and thought of as effective. The idea of the pattern being over the full label did not come across effectively either. They thought that the triangle and box were disconnected from the whole concept as well as the white color not going well with the concept or design.
I also created a nutrition label using the instructions and my nutrition facts from the Peanut Butter and Jelly Soda.

Hi Grace! This looks great! I think the font you used is very effective, especially for Jelly. It makes it stand apart from Peanut Butter, which is helpful. You did a good job at bringing that 90s vibe into your piece too with the background design and the shapes around the name. It's subtle, but still very effective. The placement of the company name is good too because it doesn't take away from the soda name but it is still somewhere where people will be able to see it. I can also see how you could change the package design depending on what flavor it is, but still keep the deigns consistent. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGrace, this design is so playful and fun, it reminds me of old tv shows like Zoom or the rugrats, which I think fits the product very well. I find your font choices to be very effective, I think they play off each other well, showing the contrast between peanut butter and jelly. Your subtle background provides a space for my eye to wonder and rest and then return to the text. I think your geometric shapes around the text are really fun and exciting. I think you might be able to push the design by adding more of these, and playing with size. I would suggest adding some to the back panel where you list the ingredients. I think this would push the 90's theme you have as well as modernizing it slightly.
ReplyDeleteHey Grace. I definitely enjoy the design and it's a lot of fun to look at. It's super playful and the typography you used really fits the entire style. The only thing i'd say you should experiment with are your shapes around the title Peanut Butter & Jelly. I think they're a lot of fun and would probably look really nice if you carried them into the background as a pattern or added them onto other sides of the package. Overall it's really solid.
